Sen. Mark Warner Votes in Alexandria
The incumbent is running for re-election, against Republican Ed Gillespie.

Sen. Mark Warner stopped by his local precinct Tuesday morning in Alexandria to vote. Warner is the incumbent on the ballot, running against Ed Gillespie, a former Republican party leader and lobbyist.
Warner voted at 10:30 a.m. at the Lyles-Crouch Traditional Academy, at 530 S. St. Asaph St., in Alexandria.
Warner and fellow Democrats including Congressman Gerry Connolly, who is also up for re-election today, rallied late Monday afternoon on the eve of Tuesday’s election in Old Town Alexandria’s Market Square.

Other Democrats on hand were Don Beyer, running for the 8th congressional District, Congressman Moran, who is retiring from that seat, Sen. Tim Kaine, who is not up for re-election; also on hand to support Warner Monday night: Republican John Warner, a former five-term U.S. senator.
Polls close statewide Tuesday at 7 p.m.
