Senior Alert Canceled For Alexandria Woman
Virginia State Police said the woman who suffers from a cognitive impairment was found safe Thursday afternoon.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Virginia State Police on Thursday afternoon canceled a senior alert for a missing woman who was last seen at her Alexandria home.
The Alexandria Police Department had searched for 80-year-old Virginia Helen Richards, who was last seen around 8:15 p.m. Wednesday at her home on West Del Ray Avenue.

Virginia State Police said late in the afternoon that Richards was found safe and the alert canceled.
Richards is 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 125 pounds. She has multicolored eyes and white hair. Police said she is believed to be on foot and is possibly wearing all dark clothing.
