Shooting Injures Man In Neighborhood Near Braddock Road Metro In Alexandria
Alexandria Police say a man was hospitalized from a shooting in the Old Town West area near the Braddock Road Metro.
ALEXANDRIA, VA — A man was injured in a shooting in Old Town West near the Braddock Road Metro last Friday, according to Alexandria Police.
Around 11:30 a.m. on June 30, a 48-year-old man was shot in the 1300 block of Madison Street. The victim had upper body trauma and was taken to the hospital. He is in critical but stable condition, police said.
The shooting is in a neighborhood with concerns about rising gunshots incidents. In the nearby 700 block of N. Fayette Street, police installed cameras and increased officer presence in response to a string of gunshots incidents. Alexandria Police indicated the measures would continue until they've resolved the source of the violence.
