Silver Parrot To Close After 44 Years In Alexandria
The longtime jewelry store is offering a sale as it prepares to close on lower King Street.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — The Silver Parrot, a longtime jewelry store specializing in sterling silver jewelry, will close after 44 years in Alexandria.
A sign advertising a closing sale has been placed in front of the store at 113 King Street. The Silver Parrot website indicates the store will close at the end of 2021. All items are on sales, between 25 and 50 percent off online at www.silverparrot.com or in store.
A statement provided by the store to Patch said the closing was due to rent increasing significantly along with other expenses. The remaining weeks will be treated as a celebration to thank the store's customers.
