Solidarity Run Planned After Alexandria Congressional Shooting
Members of Congress, staff and first responders are participating in a run as a response to the Alexandria Congressional shooting.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Two veterans organizations are holding a solidarity walk/run in Alexandria after the Congressional shooting Wednesday morning left House Majority Whip Steve Scalise and four others hospitalized.
Two are Capitol Police officers, Special Agents David Bailey and Crystal Greiner, and the run will honor the first responders that responded to the shooter. Team Red, White & Blue and Got Your 6 planned the run as a community response to the violent shooting in Alexandria.

The run is Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. and will start at Mount Vernon Community School (1005 Mount Vernon Avenue) in the Del Ray neighborhood. Members of Congress, their staff and first responders will be participating. The run will conclude with a gathering at Lena's Wood-Fired Pizza & Tap (401 East Braddock Road).
