Well circle your calendars. Southern food fans can indulge in Executive Chef Lisa Frantz’ Sunday Supper specials starting Nov. 1 at the Majestic Cafe, an Old Town eatery that has played host to everyone from the Obamas to actor Robert Pattinson. (The specials might remind some Majestic fans of the cafe’s Nana’s Sunday Dinners, made popular by previous chef, Shannon Overmiller.)

Topping the list of offerings for Sunday Suppers will be Frantz’ Fried Chicken, from a recipe she has perfected over the last nine years, served with aMartha’s” buttermilk biscuits, and apple-spiced fall chutney. Or try her Bacon-Wrapped Meatloaf, with cherry tomato jam, brown butter sage whipped potatoes. There will also be a vegetarian option such as Kabocha Squash Ravioli or Greens & Grits.

Sunday Supper entrees will be served with a bottomless Basket of Biscuits with honey butter, two seasonal side dishes chosen by the chef, all you can eat Mixed Green Salad, unlimited house-made lemonade and iced tea and a home-style shareable dessert, not available on the daily menu, such as Seasonal Fruit Cobbler, Black Bottom Pie, or a Big A** Baked Chocolate Chip Cookie for $24 per person, not including tax and gratuity.

Sunday Supper will be offered from 5 to 10 p.m., along with more of Frantz’ enticing new fall menu delights.

The Majestic Cafe, located at 911 King St., has been an Old Town favorite since 1932. Painstakingly refurbished and reopened by a group of local investors in 2001, the restaurant serves up classic dishes with a Southern twist, with a big emphasis on what’s local and in season.

Dishes are sourced within the Commonwealth, whenever possible. Lunch is served Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; dinner is served Sunday through Thursday from 5 to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 5 to 11 p.m., and brunch is served Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
