Suspect Wounded In Officer-Involved Shooting: Alexandria Police
Two officers came across a suspect with a gun when responding to a burglary, according to Alexandria Police.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — A suspect was wounded in a police-involved shooting in Alexandria Friday.
Around 3:17 a.m., police had responded to a residential building in the 300 block of North Beauregard Street for a burglary. Upon finding a man with a gun, two officers shot the suspect. The suspect went to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. There were no officer injuries, and no one was hurt in the burglary incident.
Police did not announce any charges. Virginia State Police will be investigating the officer-involved shooting per Alexandria Police policy. The two officers involved in the shooting have been placed on administrative leave.
