Tatte Bakery Sets Opening Date For January In Alexandria

Tatte Bakery & Cafe, a Boston-founded cafe with all-day brunch on three days, is opening on Alexandria's King Street.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Tatte Bakery & Cafe, a growing café brand in the DC region, will open its Old Town Alexandria location later in January.

The cafe announced it will open at 7 a.m. on Jan. 24 at 515 King Street. Tatte Bakery & Cafe will serve up an all-day menu, brunch all day on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and a gluten-friendly menu. The menus are centered around all-day breakfast items, tartines (bread with toppings), traditional North African dish shakshuka, bowls, plates, sandwiches, soups and salads. Coffee, tea and other drinks are also served.

Tatte Bakery & Cafe was founded in Boston by Israeli native and pastry chef Tzurit Or. The business started 15 years ago in her home as she sold her baked goods at a Boston farmers market. Since then, it has grown to 35 locations in Boston and the DC region. The Alexandria location would be the 12th in the DC region.
