ALEXANDRIA, VA—There's one more reason to support your local businesses in Alexandria this weekend. The Old Town Boutique District is holding its Shop & Stroll event Thursday, Sept. 21 through Sunday, Sept. 24.
It's a scavenger hunt of sorts for shoppers. When you browse through the participating Old Town Alexandria shops, you can collect stamps to be entered in a grand prize drawing for a $1,000 gift card, a stay at Hotel Indigo and brunch for two at Hummingbird.
Attendees can purchase a $20 event bag to earn savings and free goodies. It includes exclusive shopping discounts up to 30 percent at all participating boutiques, free giveaways at each location, an entry in a second prize drawing ($500 gift card) and a stamp card.

One lucky winner will find a golden ticket in a bag, good for 50 percent off a regular-priced item at participating stores.
