Thousands Without Power In Alexandria, GW Parkway Floods
BREAKING: Outages have been reported around Alexandria, and Arlington Fire warns about flooding on the GW Parkway.

ALEXANDRIA, VAāThousands of Alexandria residents are without power after Tuesday's thunderstorm.
The outages are intermittent throughout the city, but the most severe outages happened in the Taylor Run area (1,579), Old Town (1,917) and Arlandria (885) according to Dominion Energy's outage map.

Meanwhile, commuters heading south into Alexandria via the GW Parkway should seek other routes. The Arlington Fire Department reported 25 were caught in flooding near Reagan National Airport. First responders have rescued 40 occupants from their cars, and no one was injured.
