All participating children receive at least one egg. Participants should bring their own Easter baskets.

Children ages 1-12 can participate in the egg hunt, while everyone can enjoy the other activities. All children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Here are some frequently-asked questions and responses provided by Lee-Fendall House:

What time does the egg hunt start?

The gate will open to admit participants at the start time listed for each program. The egg hunt will begin within 15 minutes of the gate opening. Please allow yourself ample time for travel and parking to arrive on time.

How long is the Easter Egg Hunt?

Each Easter Egg Hunt lasts 90 minutes and includes several activities:

  • The egg hunt will begin within 15 minutes of the listed gate time. The egg hunt lasts until all eggs in the garden are found.
  • A variety of craft activities will be available on the porch during the entire program.
  • Games will be available during the entire program.
  • The Easter Bunny will be available for pictures as soon as the egg hunt is over.

Do I need to purchase tickets in advance?

The Easter Egg Hunt programs are very popular, and all of our program times have sold out for the past several years. Due to space limitations, we limit the number of children who can participate in each program. We strongly recommend that you purchase tickets in advance to be able to gain admittance to the program date and time that you prefer. We cannot guarantee admission to any of our Easter Egg Hunt programs to anyone who has not purchased tickets in advance. Full payment is required in advance for all tickets.

I purchased tickets in advance. Why haven’t I received them in the mail?

We do not mail physical tickets. The Eventbrite system will email downloadable tickets to customers. Participants are also checked against our database of ticket purchasers at the gate.

Is there an admission cost for infants?

Children under 1 year old are admitted free with an advance ticket. Please note there is limited space for strollers. We will not offer free admission at the gate to infants with families that did not purchase advance tickets. Families that did not purchase advance tickets will be charged the full child admission rate for infants.

I purchased a ticket for my child to attend the Easter Egg Hunt. Do I need to purchase a ticket for myself?

All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult, so if you plan on attending the program with your child you need to purchase a ticket. You can enjoy snacks, stickers, tattoos, and photos with the Easter Bunny!

Can I change my tickets to a different date and time after purchasing them?

We may be able to accommodate requests of this nature depending on when the request is made. If you wish to switch to a program time that is already sold out, we will be unable to accommodate your request. We are unlikely to be able to honor requests made the week prior to the Easter Egg Hunt.

My family would like to attend the Easter Egg Hunt, but the program time we want to attend is sold out. Can we still attend?

In the event of no-shows by advance ticket holders, their spaces will be sold at the gate on a first-come-first-serve basis for that program only. We are unable to place people on a waiting list or will-call list. We cannot guarantee that tickets will be available at the gate.

Is parking available on site?

We have very limited parking on site. Street parking is available on Washington and Oronoco Streets, or at any of several public parking lots within a few blocks of the museum. We strongly recommend that you allow yourself enough time to park your vehicle and walk to the museum before the start of your program time.

Do you have separate sections for children of different ages during the Easter Egg Hunt?

We do not have separate areas for children of different areas, but we do give younger children a head start during the Easter Egg Hunt. We also line children up on the starting line from youngest to oldest, with the youngest closest to the Easter eggs.

Is the museum open for tours during the Easter Egg Hunt program?

No, the museum is closed. It takes all our available staff to put on the Easter Egg Hunt.

What if it’s raining? Will the program be held in the event of inclement or severe weather?

The Lee-Fendall House Museum will make the sole determination to cancel a program in the event of severe inclement weather. Cancellation notices will be posted on the museum’s website, Facebook, and Twitter accounts. In the event of severe inclement weather during a particular program, tickets will be refunded within 30 days.
