Traffic Advisory: Areas of Fog Expected Through Mid-Morning

Heading to grandmother’s house early on Christmas morning? The National Weather Service Friday morning warns that areas of fog with patches of dense fog are developing across the DC metro area.

Drivers should use caution, as visibility along roads may quickly change, the weather service warns.

Visibility could change from several miles to just a few hundred feet in a short distance. Drivers are advised to use low beam headlights when driving.

The fog is expected to persist through the remainder of the night, dissipating by mid-morning.
