ALEXANDRIA, VA -- Virginia American Water reports Monday morning they are on site working on a water main break in Alexandria at 3516 King St.

Drivers are asked to please exercise extreme caution if you have to drive through the area.
The King Street/Quaker Lane/W. Braddock Road area (see map below) break is at 3516 King Street and westbound lanes of King Street are closed, next to Radio Shack and the dry cleaners, according to spokeswoman Samantha Villegas.

The water company posted a message about the repairwork at about 11:20 a.m. Monday.
No word from the water company on how long the repair will take.
