Tres Hermanas Mexican Restaurant Closes on Duke Street
Eatery opened in July, taking the place of Mango Mikes. What's next?

The Tres Hermanas Mexican restaurant that took the place of longtime restaurant Mango Mike’s at 4580 Duke St. in Alexandria is apparently closed.
Although its Web site notes that the restaurant is open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, a call to the restaurant’s phone number gives a recording stating that the number has been temporarily disconnected and its link on the opentable reservation system isn’t working. It’s last message on Twitter was Nov. 4.
The restaurant opened in July, taking the place of longtime eatery Mango Mikes which closed in December 2013.

Tres Hermanas received mixed reviews on Yelp.
It may have had a little competition in the Mexican food market with Los Toltecos just down the street, about a half-mile east of the restaurant.

Tres Hermanas was one of several restaurants owned by the Anderson family.
Their restaurants are Sweet Fire Donna’s in Alexandria’s Carlyle neighborhood, the sushi bar, Holy Cow, a gourmet burger joint and Pork Barrel BBQ all in Alexandria’s Del Ray community and Mango’s Ocean Front in Bethany Beach.
