Two Arrested in Alexandria Grocery Store Bomb Threats: Police

D.C. man, Arlington man were arrested Friday, police said Monday.

The Alexandria Police Department announced Monday morning it has made two arrests in a series of bomb threats targeting the Harris Teeter grocery store located at 735 N. St. Asaph St. in Alexandria.

The threats were made between April 30 and July 20. The Harris Teeter received five bomb threats in all and evacuated their customers for each occurrence, according to police.

Dewayne Ishmell, 37, of Washington D.C., was charged with two counts of Threats to Bomb. Melvin Kelly, 36, of Arlington, was charged with Soliciting Another to Communicate Threats to Bomb. They were both arrested Friday, police said.
