Upcoming Program on Summer Pruning

The Alexandria Beautification Commission is partnering with Virginia Cooperative Extension to bring a series of educational program to Alexandria. These programs focus on ways residents can beautify their homes and neighborhoods using sustainable landscaping practices.

For the third program of 2016, the focus will be on Pruning. The presentation will cover easy techniques, when and how to prune various trees and shrubs, proper equipment, and will include, weather permitting, an outdoor demonstration.

This program will take place Monday, June 6, 7:00-8:30 pm at the Mount Vernon Recreation Center in Del Ray at 2701 Commonwealth Avenue, Alexandria, VA.
