Vehicle Flips Over On Icy Road In Alexandria
An overturned vehicle in Alexandria was among the crashes due to icy road conditions Wednesday morning.

ALEXANDRIA, VA—A car overturned on an icy road in Alexandria Wednesday morning, according to police.
Police tweeted a picture of the overturned vehicle at Van Dorn Street and Eisenhower Avenue. WTOP reported the crash at 8:07 a.m. and say cars should "proceed with caution by the accident."
The driver is expected to be ok. The city has sent a sand truck to the intersection to address the ice.

The hazardous conditions won't stick around for long. Temperatures below freezing led to icy conditions. Temperatures will increase throughout the day near the 50s in Alexandria, according to the National Weather Service.
