Several Homes Without Power After Vehicle Strikes Power Pole Overnight
Police say a car struck a power pole at Powhatan and Second streets (see map). Some homes are without power.
Did you experience a power outage overnight? Alexandria Police report that a single-vehicle accident took out a power pole at the intersection of Powhatan and Second streets in Old Town.
Dominion Power reports on its outage map at 5:15 a.m. Saturday that nine customers are without power due to the crash and estimates restoration sometime between 5-10 a.m.
Police reported the incident shortly after midnight. No word on what may have caused the crash.
