ALEXANDRIA, VA — Vermilion, a restaurant from Neighborhood Restaurant Group in Alexandria, plans to reopen in July. The restaurant had temporarily closed during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Vermilion will be reopening its doors this July, and we couldn't be more excited!" the restaurant announced on its website. "After a brief period of inactivity, we're ready to return to refreshingly local, seasonal bites in a charmingly intimate ambience."

Neighborhood Restaurant Group has nearly 20 restaurants in three states and DC. In March 2020, the restaurant group had pivoted to a new model to keep staff working and customers fed. The group launched Neighborhood Provisions, an online marketplace for meals, ready-to-cook foods, pantry items and drinks for pickup or local delivery. While some of the restaurant group's restaurants reopened, Neighborhood Provisions continues to operate, even offering special items for holidays.
