Virginia Police Stop Teen Burglary Suspect From Jumping Off Woodrow Wilson Bridge: Report
Virginia State Police stopped a teenager who was linked to several burglaries from jumping off the Woodrow Wilson Bridge, a report says.
ALEXANDRIA, VA — Virginia State Police stopped a teenager who was linked to several burglaries from jumping off the Woodrow Wilson Bridge, a report says.
On Friday night, state troopers were following a vehicle connected to multiple burglaries in the DC metro area, according to WTOP. The driver lead police from Lorton up through Springfield on I-95, then got onto I-495 east, the report said. Troopers caught up to the vehicle near the Woodrow Wilson bridge and the driver and passenger jumped out, according to WTOP. The passenger, 16, was arrested; the driver, 17, threatened to jump and a trooper grabbed his shirt as he let go of the bridge railing, WTOP reported.
Both teens were taken to Fairfax Juvenile Detention Center, according to the report.
