Watch For Delays As Pride Of Baltimore II Sails Into Alexandria Harbor

ALEXANDRIA, VA – The Pride of Baltimore II will sail into Alexandria's harbor overnight between April 29 and 30, with the Woodrow Wilson Memorial Bridge opening to allow its passage. The Alexandria city government is warning drivers to expect delays.
The ship is expected to arrive at midnight, but the journey can't be precisely predicted, and Alexandria's official X account directed anyone planning a trip or just curious about the ship's progress to visit its website. This is the Pride of Baltimore II's first voyage of the 2026 season. While in Alexandria May 1 through 3, visitors can take free tours of her deck or pay to join a day sail. More information on visiting the ship can be found here.

The Pride of Baltimore II is a topsail schooner built to the lines of an 1812-era Baltimore Clipper, according to Tall Ships America. The ship is operated through a nonprofit organization and is intended to promote historical education, foster economic development and tourism, and represent the people of Maryland.
