Water Main Break Closes Part Of Alexandria Street
A water main break closed part of South Van Dorn Street in Alexandria on Saturday, according to police.
ALEXANDRIA, VA — A water main break has closed part of South Van Dorn Street in Alexandria, prompting police to warn drivers to avoid the area.
The 500 block of South Van Dorn Street remains closed to southbound traffic, according to Alexandria police. Virginia American Water crews are on site making repairs.
Police initially alerted the public to the break at 12:18 p.m. As of 5:20 p.m., there was no estimated time for the road to reopen.
