Water Main Break Leaves Alexandria Apartments Without Water, AC
An apartment community experiencing a water main break is getting assistance after being left without water service.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Residents of an Alexandria apartment community were left without water and air conditioning service due to a water main break that drew a city response Wednesday.
The water main break happened at London Park Towers in the 5300 block of Duke Street, according to the city's Office of Emergency Management. FOX5DC reported that many residents didn't have water for two days and were filling up from fire hydrants. The apartment building's management also told residents the issue caused the air conditioning to be out, according to the news outlet.
Alexandria's Office of Emergency Management was assisting impacted residents Wednesday night. Shuttles were provided to the Patrick Henry Recreation Center for drinking water and bathrooms. Management was expected to buy drinking water for residents, and a water buffalo tank arrived on scene to provide drinking water.
