Water Main Break Repairs Close King Street Exit
The westbound King Street exit off of I-395 South is closed. VDOT noted that exit could open as early as Tuesday by 5 a.m.

The Virginia Department of Transportation said late Monday night that water main break repairs could be completed by 5 a.m. Tuesday, re-opening the King Street westbound exit off of I-395 South.
Here’s the alert sent out by the City of Alexandria Monday morning just after 7 a.m.:
Due to a water main break at King Street and Park Center Drive, the westbound I 395 ramp to King Street is closed; southbound 395 ramp to King Street drivers must go EAST. Please use alternate routes.

The good news? It’s southbound, and most traffic is heading north. Alternate route: Exit early and take the Shirlington exit or pass it up and take Seminary Road.
You can still exit to eastbound King Street.
