Water Main Break Reported In Old Town Alexandria
BREAKING: A water main break is affecting an area of Old Town Alexandria on Friday, according to the water utility company.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — A water main break was reported in Old Town Alexandria Friday morning, according to Virginia American Water.
The water main break happened in the 100 block of N. Fairfax Street, which is near City Hall. Virginia American Water has crews on scene to make emergency repairs, which could take eight hours to complete. The alley near the affected area is closed.
The city estimates less than 10 residents will have little to no water pressure during the repairs. When water service is restored, water may appear discolored or cloudy and have low water pressure. If water is discolored, run the cold water taps on your home's lowest level for about 3 to 5 minutes until water appears clear.
