Wegmans In Talks To Open Alexandria Store
Alexandria residents could see a Wegmans inside the city if a deal is reached.

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- Wegmans is in talks with a real estate developer in opening a store at Hoffman Town Center in Alexandria, Washington Business Journal reports. The lease has not been signed, but three sources told the Journal the deal is close.
The grocery store would be part of a planned residential building that includes 730 units (400 apartments, 130 condos and 200 senior units). The Wegmans would be on the third level, with 1,600 parking spaces in levels above and below the store. Hoffman Town Center is located near the Eisenhower Avenue Metro Station.

Other Wegman stores in Northern Virginia include Kingstowne, Fairfax, Sterling, Leesburg, Woodbridge and Gainesville. Another is under construction in Chantilly. The Rochester, N.Y.-based grocery chain is reportedly eyeing a location in Reston as well, the Journal reports.
