West Elm Opens Alexandria Store Thursday
West Elm will have a section where local artists can sell their products.

ALEXANDRIA, VA—Furniture and home decor brand West Elm will open its Alexandria store Thursday, April 18. The store is located in the Old Town North area at 925 North St. Asaph Street, Alexandria.
"Our new store in Alexandria will provide a home for the community to source inspiration, seek design advice, and connect with neighbors at local events," said West Elm spokesperson Andres (Dru) Ortega. "We have a team of passionate and friendly associates who are excited to introduce West Elm to Old Town North."
The 12,000-square-foot store will offer West Elm's collection of modern home decor and accessories, along with exclusive summer products. The store will also sell products made in Old Town as part of the West Elm Alexandria LOCAL assortment. Products made by DC area artists include Goodnight Darling's bath products crafted in DC; Hedgehog Pottery's planters and ring dishes made with clay in Alexandria; Marcella Kriebel's foodie-themed watercolor illustrated prints made in Alexandria, The Neighborgoods' illustrated dish towels and greeting cards designed in DC; and Nourish & Refine's natural, self-care products handmade in small batches in Alexandria.

The store plans to hold regular events, pop-ups and workshops led by Alexandria small businesses.
A preview event is planned for Wednesday, April 17 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Nice Cream and Popped Republic will provide food. A portion of proceeds from the night will go to providing mattresses to the DC Dream Center. An RSVP is required.
