Your Photos: The Concert for Valor Tuesday Night in Washington, D.C.
Streets and Blue Line were closed but no mishaps reported for big crowd in DC.

The Concert for Valor to honor America’s veterans on Veterans Day seemed to go off without a hitch Tuesday night in DC. The three-hour concert began at 7 p.m. on the National Mall and aired live on HBO and online.
Northern Virginia jurisdictions’ police departments kept an eye on out for any traffic or metro problems which didn’t seem to materialize. Organizers had expected 800,000 concert-goers. The Smithsonian metro stop was reopened after the concert due to the orderly crowd; Metro’s Blue Line was suspended for the day to streamline service. Visitors to Arlington National Cemetery were inconvenienced Tuesday, but got by taking a shuttle provided at nearby metro stops.
The concert featured performances by Jennifer Hudson, Jessie J, Dave Grohl, Zac Brown, Bruce Springsteen, Carrie Underwood, Rihanna, Black Keys, Eminem, Metallica and others.
