• Someone spotted a body in the road. Now a hit-and-run investigation is underway. (wtvr.com) — A man was killed in a hit-and-run early Sunday on East Washington Street in Petersburg, and police are still trying to identify him and find the driver. An abandoned, damaged vehicle was later found on Banks Street, but its registration was invalid. Residents who saw anything or recognize the victim are urged to call Petersburg Crime Solvers at 804-861-1212.
   

• VA Firefighter Identified As Victim In Hit-And-Run Motorcycle Crash: Report (patch.com) — A 28-year-old Henrico firefighter from Petersburg, Ashtain Noel Davis, was killed in a hit-and-run late Friday while riding his motorcycle on the I-64 ramp to I-95 in Richmond. Investigators are searching for a dark-colored Jeep SUV believed to be involved. Anyone with information is asked to contact Virginia State Police Division 1 dispatch.
