VA Firefighter Identified As Victim In Hit-And-Run Motorcycle Crash: Report

RICHMOND, VA – The man killed in a hit-and-run accident in Richmond late Friday night has been identified as a Henrico County firefighter, according to reports.

WRIC reports that Ashtain Noel Davis, 28, of Petersburg, who completed his fire training in July, was the man killed when he was struck on the ramp from westbound Interstate 64 to southbound Interstate 95 shortly before midnight on Friday.

According to the outlet, Davis was riding a 2025 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when he was struck by a dark-colored SUV and thrown from his vehicle. He died at the scene. Police said Davis was wearing a helmet.

The SUV driver remains at large. WRIC reports that investigators believe it could be a dark blue or black 2014-2019 Jeep Cherokee or Compass, which might now have minor damage to its front and rear and could be missing a mirror.

The Henrico County Division of Fire mourned Davis in a social media post.
