2 Killed In Great Falls Crash Saturday Night: Police

Police say the driver lost control of the car, which ran off the roadway and struck a tree, killing two and injuring a 15-year-old girl.

GREAT FALLS, VA — A man and a woman died after the vehicle they were in ran off the road and crashed into a tree in Great Falls on Saturday night.

Police were called to the 10500 block of Beach Mill Road near Spring Vale around 7 p.m. to a report of a single-vehicle crash, according to a report from the Fairfax County Police Department.

Police found a white 2018 Infiniti Q50 at the scene. The driver, 26-year-old Benjamin Wenger of Annandale, and a passenger, 23-year-old Abigail Ryan of Great Falls, were pronounced dead on the scene. Another passenger in the backseat, a 15-year-old girl, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

"Detectives from the Crash Reconstruction Unit are investigating the crash," the report states. "It appears that the Infiniti was traveling west on Beach Mill Road, when it left the roadway in a northbound direction. It then crossed back over the road toward the south and struck a tree. The investigation continues."

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash to contact them.
