5 Early Morning Burglaries In Reston Under Investigation

RESTON, VA — Fairfax County Police are investigating a series of commercial burglaries that occurred early Wednesday morning at Hunters Woods Plaza in Reston, according to the weekly crime report. They also apprehended a suspect in another commercial burglary that occurred on Thursday morning.

Around 3:50 a.m., officers discovered signs of forced entries at the Buffalo Wing Factory & Pub, Jersey Mike's Subs, King Pollo, and Ledo Pizza. Property was taken from all four locations.

On Thursday, around 4:13 a.m., officers responded to an alarm in the 11000 block of Isaac Newton Square in Reston. Police arrest Lee Otis Hudson, 44, of Washington, D.C., as he was leaving the building. They charged him with burglary, possession of burglarious tools, and served with a warrant from another jurisdiction.

Sgt. Hudson Bull, an FCPD public affairs officer, said in an email that detectives are still investigating the commonalities among the five burglaries. No other information was available as of 1 p.m. on Friday.
