According to police, the crash happened around 6:29 p.m. on Nov. 16, 2014, at the intersection of Reston Parkway and Spectrum Center Drive.

Detectives with the Fairfax County Police Department's Crash Reconstruction Unit said Browne was driving a 2014 Ford Fusion southbound on Reston Parkway when he struck an adult woman who was crossing the roadway before leaving the scene without stopping.

The pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital. Police said her condition was later upgraded to non-life-threatening.

Investigators later identified Browne and located the vehicle involved. He was arrested on a felony hit-and-run charge and released from custody pending trial, according to police.
