Primary Election Results 2026 For Reston: U.S. Senate Race

RESTON, VA — Even though votes continue to be counted in Tuesday's Dual Primary in Virginia, the Associated Press officially declared a winner in the GOP Senate race.

Reston is in the 11th Congressional District. Incumbent U.S. Rep. James Walkinshaw (D) is running for re-election and Arthur Purves is the Republican Party's candidate. So, there was no primary in the 11th District race.

In the Republican Primary, Bert Mizusawa was declared the GOP's candidate for U.S. Senate on the Nov. 3 ballot. He defeated challengers David E. Williams and Kim Farington. Mizusawa will face incumbent Senator Mark Warner (D) in November
