4. Fairfax Revises Tree Commission Plan Before Tuesday's Hearing (patch.com) β Fairfax County supervisors will hold a Tuesday hearing on dissolving the Tree Commission and shifting its work to a new Environmental Commission, which now must include at least two forestry experts. Reston Citizens Association and local environmental leaders with Reston ties warn the change could weaken independent oversight of tree policy, land use, stormwater, and climate issues that affect Reston's urban forest.
