Assault In Reston Under Investigation By Fairfax County Police

Fairfax County Police were called to a home in Reston early Tuesday for the report of an assault they determined to be domestic in nature.

RESTON, VA— Fairfax County Police are investigating an assault that took place early Tuesday morning in Reston.

Officers responded around 3:45 a.m. for the report of a stabbing in the 2300 block of Freetown Court. Upon arrival, they located a man who had sustained non-life-threatening injuries that weren't consistent with a stabbing, according to police. The victim was treated at the scene and did not need to go to the hospital.

Investigators determined that the assault was domestic in nature and involved multiple people, according to the police report.
