Charlottesville Vigil In Reston/Herndon Monday Night
Locals will gather to remember the lives lost in the Charlottesville violence over the weekend.

RESTON/HERNDON, VA — The local community will gather in Herndon to pay their respects to the three people who died in Charlottesville over the weekend during a white supremacists rally.
The "Herndon/Reston Vigil for Peace" will take place at 7 p.m. on Monday at 2980 Treadwell Lane in Herndon, according to a post on The Action Network.
"We are standing in solidarity with Charlottesville," the post states. "Join us. Come put some positive energy in the universe and hold each other up. Please bring a candle (if you have one) and your walking shoes in the event we decide to parade down Reston Parkway. Wearing white is a plus but completely optional. Please share far and wide. We will meet in my cul-de-sac so there is lots of parking."

The vigil will remember Heather Heyer, a Charlottesville resident who was killed when she was struck by a car allegedly driven by a white supremacist, and Virginia State Police troopers Lieutenant H. Jay Cullen and Trooper-Pilot Berke M.M. Bates, who both perished in a helicopter crash while monitoring the "Unite the Right" white nationalist rally that resulted in violence.
