Dominion Restores Power To All Virginia Customers: Report

A total of 670,000 customers were without power after the epic windstorm rolled through Friday and Saturday.

Dominion Energy has restored power to all customers affected by the windstorm on Friday and Saturday, according to a report.

ABC 7 reporter Richard Reeve tweeted Wednesday morning that the utility reports "all storm related outages have been repaired."

A total of 670,000 Dominion customers were without power at the outage's peak. Wind gusts topping 70 miles per hour in some areas toppled trees onto power lines throughout the D.C. area.

The work to clean up all the debris will take much longer than a few days, however.

In Reston, the Reston Association reports that crews will take at least a month to fully clean up downed trees and limbs throughout the area.

"Reston Association's Central Services Facility employees are working to remove trees that fell during the March 2 windstorm," RA said in a statement. "Priority is being given to trees that are downed on roadways and pathways. Any trees that are hanging or may be a safety hazard are also being dealt with first by RA crews."
