Driver Caught In Great Falls Floodwaters Narrowly Escapes: Report
The torrential downpour Tuesday night created an emergency for one local motorist.

GREAT FALLS, VA -- A driver narrowly escaped after being stuck in a car in Great Falls with water at "headlight level."
Facebook account DMVFireScanner reported that units had been dispatched to 11925 Beach Mill Road at 9:16 p.m. for a swift water rescue, with a vehicle stuck in the water and an occupant still in the car.
"R439 on scene advising a occupant is in the vehicle, water at headlight level," DMVFireScanner reported at 9:31 p.m.

Fortunately, it appears the driver was rescued.
"Occupant is out of the vehicle, no EMS required," the account reported at 9:44 p.m. "Units are clearing shortly."
