Drunk Reston Man Crashes Car Into Creek, Wanders Off: Police

Police say the man is facing his third DUI, which would be a felony if convicted.

A Reston man has been arrested in Sterling on felony DUI charges after police say he crashed into a creek and then wandered away from the scene.

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office responded to the intersection of Algonkian Parkway and Rutherford Circle in Sterling to a report of a vehicle that had crashed into a guardrail and then traveled off the roadway and into a creek, according to a report from the sheriff's office.

"A witness reported that a male driver exited the vehicle and walked away from the scene towards a footpath," the report states.

Police later located 31-year-old Marc A. Dixon of Reston and charged him with misdemeanor hit and run and felony DUI, as it would be his third DUI in five years.

Dixon is being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center without bond.
