The Fifth Annual Aldrin Elementary Mini-Walk for the Homeless will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 28, on school grounds. Students will walk in support of the nearly 12,000 people in the Washington metropolitan area who are homeless, 25 percent of whom are children. The event will also raise awareness of the plight of the homeless and provide support to through Fannie Mae’s Help the Homeless program.
