Yin Yoga & The Bowen Technique

Bowen Technique: 
a unique modality of body work that is comprised of gentle yet highly effective moves across muscles, tendons, and peripheral nerves that trigger the body’s natural self healing response. Healing occurs at all levels in the body: physical, chemical, emotional, mental, and energetic.
gentle hands on moves that reset the body to heal itself by activating the nervous and endocrine systems, among others, through the following mechanisms: stretch reflex, joint proprioceptors, fascia and connective tissue, spinal reflexes, acupuncture meridians, harmonic vibrations, lymphatic system, and detoxification.

Yin Yoga:
consists primarily of seated postures held for 3-10 minutes in order to release the deep connective tissues in the body. focuses on opening hips, pelvis, and lower spine a simple, deep, powerful practice

This Yin Yoga and Bowen Technique Workshop brings together these two profound healing modalities to create an experience of deep repair within the body. Each participant will receive hands on Bowenwork before, during, and after a deep yin yoga sequence. 

This workshop is perfect for: *back, hip, or pelvic issues or pain *increasing flexibility in the lower body *reducing headaches and/or migraines *improving sleep

Your teacher, Kate Deriso has a full time Bowen Therapy practice in Herndon where she works with clients that suffer from chronic pain, back pain, migraines, MS, and fibromyalgia. She also teaches yin yoga at the Beloved Yoga studio in Great Falls.
