Taekwondo Instructor Arrested For Sexually Assaulting A Juvenile
ROBBERY: 13000 block of Braddock Road, 7/3/21, 2:45 a.m. The victim was approached by two men and a woman who assaulted him, took his property and left in a car. No injuries were reported.
ROBBERY: 13000 block of Braddock Road, 7/5/21, 4 a.m. The victim was approached by a man who forcefully took his property, implied he had a weapon, and walked away.
MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION
MALICIOUS WOUNDING/ACCIDENT HIT AND RUN: 7900 block of Janna Lee Avenue, 7/5/21, 5:05 a.m. After a dispute, a woman drove into a man and pinned him against a car before driving away. The man was taken to a hospital with injuries that were life threatening. Detectives are continuing to investigate this case. Tennida Ferguson, 45, of Alexandria, is wanted for malicious wounding.
BURGLARY/ASSAULT/WEAPONS DISCHARGE: 7900 block of Janna Lee Avenue, 7/2/21, 2:37 p.m. A man entered an apartment, assaulted the tenant and fired a BB gun before running away. No injuries were reported. A window was damaged by the BB gun.
UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A VEHICLE/ASSAULT ON A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER/OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE: 2000 block of Peach Orchard Drive, 7/3/21, 2:51 a.m. Eric Jones, 22, of New Jersey was driving a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta without permission from the owner. An officer attempted to arrest him, but he assaulted the officer, ran away and was not immediately located. The officer was treated at the hospital for minor injuries. Jones is currently wanted for assault on a law enforcement officer, unauthorized use of a vehicle, and obstruction of justice.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING/ATTEMPT TO DISARM A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER/ASSAULT ON A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER: 1500 block of Trap Road, 7/7/21, 10 p.m. During a dispute, a man cut a woman with a knife. Officers attempted to arrest Daniel Hughes, 37, of Ashburn, but he assaulted several officers at the scene before being taken into custody. Hughes was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries where he assaulted another officer and attempted to take their weapon. Hughes was charged with malicious wounding, two counts of assault on a law enforcement officer, attempt to disarm a law enforcement officer and obstruction with force.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING: 9400 block of Lee Highway, 7/8/21, 1:53 a.m. A man was stabbed by an acquaintance who ran away from the scene. Detectives are working to confirm the identity of the acquaintance. The victim was treated at the hospital for injuries that are not life threatening.
SHOOTING: 2900 block of Peyton Randolph Drive, 7/3/21, 1:54 a.m. The victim was approached by two men who displayed a handgun and shot him in the lower body as he attempted to run away. The victim was taken to the hospital for injuries that are not life threatening.
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 5920 Summers Lane (Bailey’s Community Center), 7/4/21, 9:26 a.m. Someone forced entry into the building and took property.
ROBBERY/MALICIOUS WOUNDING: 6100 block of Yellowstone Drive, 7/7/21, 12:50 p.m. The victim was walking on a trail when he was stabbed by a man in the upper body and ran away. The victim was taken to a hospital for injuries that are not life threatening.
RESTON DISTRICT STATION
STABBING: 2000 block of Huston Place, 7/3/21, 4:13 p.m. Three juvenile acquaintances were involved in a dispute when one stabbed another in the upper body. The victim was taken to a hospital for injuries that are not life threatening. Officers continue to investigate this case.
ATTEMPTED ROBBERY: 2500 block of Centreville Road, 7/6/21, 11 p.m. The victim was approached by a man who implied a gun and demanded money. The man left in a car and no property was taken.
COMMERCIAL ROBBERY: 6200 #B, Old Franconia Road (Franconia Wellness), 7/2/21, 2 p.m. A man entered the business, forcefully took property and ran away.
WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 8070 Edinburgh Drive (Saratoga Swimming Pool), 7/2/21, 8 p.m. Someone forced entry into the business and took property.
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 7361 McWhorter Place #310, 7/3/21, 5:30 p.m. Someone forced entry into the business and took property.
BRANDISHING/ASSAULT: 2400 block of Glengyle Drive, 7/3/2021, 4:11 a.m. During a dispute, Brandon Sejas Cruz, 21, of Centreville, assaulted and brandished a handgun at the victim. Cruz was charged with brandishing a firearm, assault by mob, and drunk in public. No injuries were reported.
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 2946 #Q, Chain Bridge Road (Oakton Cigars & More), 7/4/21, 2:15 a.m. Someone forced entry into the business and took property.
ROBBERY: 2300 block of Field Point Road, 7/4/21, 5:59 p.m. A group of people took the victims’ property that was left on the ground. When the victim confronted the group, they displayed a firearm and walked away. The group was stopped by officers nearby and charges are pending.
