Man Dies Following Friday Crash in Springfield
Man Shot in Early Morning Robbery
RECKLESS DISCHARGE: 4000 block of Chantilly Lace Court, 10/17/21, 9:29 a.m. Officers responded to the report of gunshots and determined a man was shooting a handgun towards the occupant(s) of a blue SUV. The driver of the SUV drove away, and the shooter was seen running inside a residence nearby. Detectives responded and determined a juvenile was responsible for the shooting. The juvenile was arrested the following day and charged with malicious bodily injury, maliciously shot or throw missile at vehicle, unlawful shooting car, and use of firearm in commission of felony. The blue SUV was located in an adjoining jurisdiction. An occupant of the blue SUV was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Property damage was found on the blue SUV and to nearby homes. This was not a random act of violence and all parties involved are known to each other.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING (STABBING): 14000 block of Saint Germain Drive, 10/17/21, 2:01 a.m. A man was stabbed by his coworker and taken to the hospital for injuries not considered life threatening. The victim did not wish to press charges.
POLICE SERVICE: 6700 block of Bull Run Post Office Road, 10/21/21, 4:01 p.m. Officers assisted Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office in their search for a wanted man. The man was taken into custody. Click here for Loudoun’s release.
ASSUALT BY MOB/ MALICIOUS WOUNDING/ BRANDISHING A FIREARM: 8200 block of Russell Road, 10/20/21, 5 p.m. The victim was assaulted by three men. During the assault, one of the men produced a gun and pointed it at the victim. Investigation determined that a juvenile was responsible for the assault and brandished the firearm. The juvenile was taken into custody and petitions were obtained for assault by mob, malicious wounding, and brandishing a firearm. Officers are investigating the identity of the others involved. Non-life-threatening injuries were reported.
STRONG ARMED ROBBERY: 6000 block of Richmond Highway, 10/21/21, 7:30 p.m. The victim was assaulted and had personal property taken by an unknown man. No injuries were reported.

COMMERICAL ROBBERY: 7414 Little River Turnpike (SAFEWAY), 10/17/21, 7:02p.m. A man approached the counter and demanded merchandise. The man left prior to obtaining merchandise. No injuries were reported.

RECKLESS DISCHARGE: 9800 block of Hagel Circle, 10/17/21, 2:01 a.m. After being awoken by the sound of gunfire, the victim found broken glass and bullet holes inside the residence. Upon investigation, officers located spent cartridge cases outside the residence. No injuries were reported.
ROBBERY: 6900 block of Hechinger Drive, 10/18/21, 6:58p.m. The victim was assaulted by a 46-year-old man who tried to take personal property. Nearby community members assisted the victim by holding the man until officers arrived. He was taken to the adult detention center and charged with robbery.
COMMERICAL BURGLARY: 6025 Farrington Avenue (Expert Fence), 10/19/21, 10:09 p.m. Someone entered the closed business and took property.
