New Restaurant Opens Near Reston Town Center

RESTON, VA — Fast-casual Mediterranean restaurant Cava Grill just opened near Reston Town Center, and the fast-growing D.C. chain offered the community a free lunch benefiting a local charity.

Cava Grill celebrated its first day at 1815 Fountain Drive, just outside of RTC, with a free lunch "for everyone who joins us," the restaurant said in a statement.

"Personalize your pita, grain bowl, or salad with dips, veggies + proteins, ALL the toppings, and a signature dressing drizzle," the statement reads. "During the event, we’ll be raising money to help support our local community partner, City Blossoms. 100% of what we raise will go straight to their community-based garden programming aimed at giving DMV-area kids and teens access to green spaces to learn and grow."

Cava Grill is a chain that provides fast casual Mediterranean-inspired cuisine. It started with the opening of Cava Mezze in Washington, D.C., in 2006, and it has spread to the D.C. suburbs and the Baltimore area since then.
