• Fairfax County police officer, a 23-year veteran on the force charged, accused of shoplifting (washingtontimes.com) — A Fairfax County police officer is facing two misdemeanor shoplifting charges after Target employees in Burke and at Springfield Town Center reported he used cheaper barcodes to buy more expensive items. The 23-year department veteran, most recently a school resource officer, has been placed on administrative leave and is set to retire as the criminal case moves forward.
