• Free Summer Entertainment Series returns with varied lineups despite reduced budget (ffxnow.com) — Free outdoor entertainment is returning across Fairfax County, with Springfield residents getting Springfield Nights at Burke Lake Park and new Kid’s Concerts on the Green at the Springfield Overlook garage starting June 24. Despite a budget cut that trims the total number of shows, the Summer Entertainment Series still offers more than 100 concerts, kids’ programs, cultural nights, and movie screenings through August.
