Google May Lease Massive Block Of Space In Reston (ICYMI)
Google reportedly is looking at about 100,000 square feet of space at Reston Station.

RESTON, VA -- Google may be about to establish a big footprint in Reston, according to a report.
The Washington Business Journal reports that Google is considering leasing a large block of office space -- around 100,000 square feet -- at the Reston Station building located at 1900 Reston Metro Plaza, right around the corner from the Wiehle-Reston East Metro station.

Google had recently entered into a pair of agreements for data center sites in Loudoun County, but it's not clear what this space would be used for, WBJ reported.
The search engine giant is reportedly only in talks right now with Comstock Cos., which owns the building.

It's the latest indication of the Reston area's growing reputation in the tech world. The Reston and Herndon area is reportedly on the short list for Amazon's massive second headquarters. The online retailer plans to announce its new location by the end of the year.
