Governor to Visit Reston Business on Wednesday

Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe will be at StreetShares to announce the Veterans Small Business Awards finalists.

RESTON, VA — Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe will be visiting StreetShares in Reston this week to announce the Veteran Small Business Awards finalists.

McAuliffe will be stopping by StreetShares, which is located at 1985 Isaac Newton Square W #103, at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 1, according to the governor's website.

McAuliffe will be on hand "to make an important announcement regarding the Virginia Values Veterans initiative and a veterans jobs initiative," StreetShares said in a statement. "He will also make an announce[ment] regarding the StreetShares Foundation monthly award program, rewarding a total of $10,000 per month to veteran business owners."

StreetShares, which was founded in 2013, helps small business owners with funding.
