Great Falls Restaurant Among Top 100 In USA: OpenTable
L'Auberge Chez Francois joined seven other D.C.-area restaurants on OpenTable's annual top 100 list.

GREAT FALLS, VA -- Residents of Great Falls and Reston, you have a real gem in your backyard. OpenTable has named L'Auberge Chez Francois one of the top 100 restaurants in the entire country.
The French restaurant joined seven other D.C.-area restaurants -- Chez Billy Sud, Kinship, Harold Black, Le Diplomate, Marcel's, Rasika, and Joe's Seafood -- on OpenTable's annual list. That means D.C. got even more spots than food powerhouse Chicago (five restaurants). L'Auberge Chez Francois and Harold Black were the only D.C.-area restaurants to repeat on the list from last year.
"The 100 Best Restaurants in America for 2017 are consistently putting out delicious dishes, providing impeccable service, and paying attention to every detail to orchestrate one-of-a-kind dining experiences time and again," OpenTable states. "Our list of honorees is based on an analysis of 12,000,000+ reviews of more than 26,000 restaurants across the country — all submitted by verified diners."

Several of the names are of no surprise to D.C. residents, as Le Diplomate, Marcels, and Rasika have long been known as top names in the food world. The omission of red-hot eatery Bad Saint and Jose Andres' barmini from the list might be a little surprising, if only for the fact that so many D.C. names got on and they did not.
Last year, only four D.C. restaurants were named to OpenTable's top 100: barmini, Seasons Restaurant at the Four Seasons, L'Auberge Chez Francois, and Harold Black.

D.C. wasn't the most well-represented city on the list, however. Not surprisingly, that honor went to New York, which got 19 spots.
