• 3 People Indicted In Separate Fairfax County Homicide Cases (patch.com) — Reston residents are learning more about a deadly shooting on Fan Shell Court, where 24-year-old Marvin Morales Ortez now faces second-degree murder and firearm charges in the death of a housemate. His case is one of three Fairfax County homicides recently sent to trial by a grand jury, with court dates set into late 2026 and early 2027.
   

• Leidos Wins $9.9M Air Force Contract for Medusa Counter-Drone System Integration (envzone.com) — Leidos' Reston operations are part of a new $9.9 million Air Force contract to support the Medusa counter-drone system, with work running through late 2027. Some of that engineering and integration work will be performed in Reston, tying local jobs and expertise to a long-term national defense project.
